We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at Level AA as a baseline and aim higher where we can.<\/p>\n<h2>What&#8217;s in place today<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>High-contrast text.<\/strong> All body text meets WCAG AA contrast requirements against the white background.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Resizable text.<\/strong> You can enlarge text up to 200% in any modern browser without the layout breaking.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Keyboard navigation.<\/strong> Every link, button, menu and form field can be reached and operated with Tab, Shift-Tab, Enter and Space.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Visible focus.<\/strong> The element you&#8217;re on is always clearly outlined \u2014 never hidden.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Skip-to-content link.<\/strong> The first thing a keyboard user sees is a &#8220;skip to content&#8221; link that jumps past the header.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Image descriptions.<\/strong> Every meaningful image has alt text. Decorative images are marked as decorative so screen-readers don&#8217;t announce them.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reduced motion.<\/strong> If your operating system is set to reduce motion, animations and auto-scrolling are turned off.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Plain language.<\/strong> We rewrite every page until a tired reader can follow it on the first read.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Known limitations<\/h2>\n<p>Where embedded third-party videos are present, we rely on the provider (YouTube or Vimeo) for their accessibility features. We check that captions are present on every video we upload; where they are not yet, we add them.<\/p>\n<h2>Standards and testing<\/h2>\n<p>We test with axe-core as part of our publishing pipeline, and we run a full manual screen-reader pass (NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS) before each major template change.
