Who stands behind Litenett, why we exist, how we’re paid and where the line is between “we help” and “you decide”. No fluff — just the honest version.

What exactly is Litenett?
Litenett is a small, independent finance-consulting firm built for private individuals — not institutions, not funds, not “high-net-worth” only. Our one job is simple: help you keep more of your money, in your own accounts, out of the reach of bad bets and bad actors.
We never hold, move or invest a cent for you. We take no commissions. We sell no financial products. The only money that reaches us is the fixed consulting fee you agree to, in writing, before we lift a finger.
Why does a firm like Litenett even need to exist?
Because most people make the biggest money decisions of their lives with no genuinely independent voice in the room. Banks have a product to push. Platforms have a trade to route. Friends mean well but are usually guessing. And online scammers now sound more professional than a lot of real licensed advisers — which is exactly how they catch people out.
Litenett gives you a quiet, outside opinion from someone with no stake in what you do next. We explain, we check, we write it down — and then every single decision, and every single account, stays in your hands. That’s the whole point.
The five principles behind every engagement
- Zuerst das Kissen. Before anyone talks about investing, we make sure you have enough set aside for life’s shocks — illness, a lost job, a car that fails inspection.
- Only risks you can explain. If you can’t describe in one sentence how an investment makes or loses money, you shouldn’t be in it yet. We fix the understanding, not the trade.
- Check every firm, every time. No money moves to anyone we haven’t verified — regulator, address, directors, complaints, press, the lot.
- Independence kept clean. We’re paid only by clients. Zero commissions, zero referral fees, zero “trailer” income. If someone tries to pay us to send you their way, we say no.
- Written down, kept by you. Every plan, spreadsheet, check and note is yours to keep forever. You shouldn’t have to ring us up to remember what we decided.

Who is Litenett actually for?
Private individuals and households making money decisions bigger than they’re used to — a first serious investment, a parent’s estate, an unexpected lump sum, an offer they can’t quite tell is real. Also people who just want someone sharp in their corner before they say yes to a bank or a broker.
We don’t work with institutions, pension funds or companies. We don’t take on clients who want us to pick stocks for them. If that’s what you need, we’ll say so and point you elsewhere — honestly.
Who’s on the team?
A compact European team based across Amsterdam, Vienna and Stockholm. Our consultants come from retail banking compliance, consumer-finance journalism and chartered accountancy backgrounds. Every member has signed the same independence policy: no personal stake in any firm we might assess, no commissions from anywhere.
The person who answers your first email is the person who’ll work with you — not a junior, not a handover, not a call-centre funnel.
How do we fund the business?
From client fees only. That’s it. No vendor kick-backs, no affiliate links on this site, no “sponsored” content. Running Litenett is deliberately unprofitable at scale, because the moment we start optimising for volume we stop being useful. We take the clients we can give proper attention to.
How do we make sure we’re not quietly wrong?
Every guide on this site is dated, versioned and reviewed on a schedule. When a rule changes or a new scam pattern emerges, we update the piece and log the change. See our editorial policy for how that process works — and what to do if you spot something you think we got wrong.
Three things Litenett will never do
- Ask for access to your bank, broker or crypto accounts.
- Push you towards a specific firm, product or platform because someone pays us to.
- Guarantee a return, a timeline or a “doubling” of anything. If you ever see that in our name, it’s not us — it’s someone using our brand to trick you.
