Cookies

Which cookies this site sets. (Short answer: effectively none.)

Versie 1.0 · van kracht vanaf 1 november 2026.

De korte versie: this website sets no cookies at all on ordinary visitors. No analytics, no ads, no trackers. If you later sign in as a Litenett administrator in WordPress, you’ll get one strictly necessary session cookie — the same one WordPress sets for every logged-in user on every WordPress site in the world. That’s it.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file your browser stores for a website. It is a convenience: it lets a site remember a choice you made, a form you half-filled, or that you are signed in. It is also, in the wrong hands, the oldest tracking technology on the web.

Cookies we set on ordinary visitors

None. You can open litenett.com/, browse every page, and leave without a single cookie landing in your browser.

Cookies we set on Litenett staff who sign in

Standard WordPress session cookies (wordpress_logged_in_* and friends) that keep an admin logged in while they work. Strictly necessary; deleted automatically on sign-out.

Third-party cookies

None. We don’t run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, Clarity, or any other third-party script that would set a cookie or fingerprint your browser.

Embedded videos

If you click “play” on an embedded video testimonial on the home page, your browser then loads content from the video provider (YouTube or Vimeo). That provider may set its own cookies at that point — the usual ones they set everywhere else. If you don’t want that, don’t click play.

How to delete anything your browser has stored for us

Open your browser’s privacy settings, choose “Clear cookies and site data” and type litenett.com/ into the filter. Done. (If you’re comfortable with Developer Tools, Application → Storage → Clear site data has the same effect.)

Wijzigingen in deze kennisgeving

If we ever introduce a cookie on ordinary visitors — we have no plans to — we will update this page and ask for your consent through a proper banner before setting anything non-essential.
