What Litenett does

Litenett is an independent finance-consulting firm serving private individuals in Europe. Our consulting is unregulated as regulated investment advice because we do not give personal investment recommendations under European investor-protection rules. We help people understand, check and plan; the actual investment decisions, if any, are made by the client and executed through regulated firms they choose for themselves.

What we do not do

• Hold, receive or move client money.
• Give personal investment recommendations under MiFID II rules.
• Give tax, legal, insurance or mortgage advice.
• Sell financial products or earn commissions.
• Guarantee a return, a timeline or a doubling of anything.

Scope of this website

This website publishes general information. It is not a substitute for personal advice and must not be relied on to make a specific decision. A reader who needs advice tailored to their own position should either engage Litenett under an engagement letter or consult a qualified adviser in their country.

Risk warning

Investing carries risk. The value of investments can fall as well as rise, past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results, and some investments can result in loss of the full amount invested. If you are not sure whether an investment is suitable for you, don’t take it.

Beware of impersonation

Fraudsters have been known to impersonate consulting firms. Every real email from Litenett comes from a @litenett.com/ address and every real link points to litenett.com/. We never ask for passwords, two-factor codes or payment in crypto, gift cards or to an account that doesn’t have “Litenett” in the name. If you receive anything else in our name, forward it to [email protected].

Complaints procedure

If something has gone wrong, email [email protected] with a short description of what happened and what you would like us to do. A senior partner acknowledges every complaint within three working days and gives a substantive answer within 20.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can take the complaint to the Dutch Financial Services Complaints Institute (Kifid) where it has jurisdiction, or to the courts of your own EU member state where the law allows.

Governing law

These Important Information pages, our Terms and the engagement letters we sign are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
