Version 1.0 · in force from 1 November 2026.
Litenett respects copyright. If you believe content on litenett.com/ infringes a work you own, we handle complaints under the procedure set out in the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) as well as the EU Directive on Copyright in the Digital Single Market. The procedure below satisfies both.
1 · Where to send a notice
Designated Agent for copyright complaints:
Legal — Copyright AgentLitenett Finance Advisory Ltd.
Herengracht 141
1015 BH Amsterdam
The Netherlands
[email protected]
2 · What a valid DMCA notice must contain
To be actionable under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must include each of the following:
- Vaš fizički ili elektronički potpis.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed. If multiple works at a single site are involved, a representative list.
- Identification of the material on litenett.com/ that you say is infringing, with enough detail (a URL is best) for us to find it.
- Your full name, address, telephone number and email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.
A notice missing any of these elements may not be legally sufficient and we may ask you to resubmit.
3 · What happens when we receive a valid notice
- We review the notice without delay.
- If the complaint is plainly correct, we remove or disable access to the material and tell you we have done so.
- If the material was uploaded by another person, we tell that person about the notice and give them the option to file a counter-notice (see below).
- Repeat infringers’ accounts are terminated under our standard policy.
4 · Counter-notice procedure
If you believe your content was removed in error, you can file a counter-notice with our agent. It must contain:
- Your signature.
- Identification of the material removed and the URL at which it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in the district where you live (or, if outside the United States, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York) and that you will accept service of process from the original complainant.
On receipt we forward the counter-notice to the original complainant. Unless they file a court action within 10 business days, we may restore the material.
5 · False notices
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), filing a notice or counter-notice that is materially false can expose you to damages, costs and attorneys’ fees. Please make sure the facts are right before you send.
6 · EU equivalent — direct take-down
If you’d prefer not to use the DMCA procedure, you can send the equivalent request under EU law (Article 17 of Directive (EU) 2019/790 and the Digital Services Act). Same email address; same information helps. We treat both routes with equal priority.
7 · Nothing here is legal advice
This page describes our process. It is not legal advice to you about your rights or ours. If you are unsure, talk to a lawyer before sending anything.
